Technology enthusiast, dancer, tinkerer.

I've been working in IT for almost 25 years, currently as an IT Analyst at a large enterprise. Earlier in my career I ran my own system integration company, specialising in home automation, home cinema, and audio-video systems — which is probably where this obsession started.

These days my free time is split between keeping two home labs running smoothly, leveraging AI to automate the boring tasks, and a few hobbies that have nothing to do with computers:

• Latin dance — I teach Salsa and Bachata and compete in Latin American
• Photography and video — including aerial photography thanks to my EASA UAS pilot licence
• Music — clarinet, EWI, and latin percussion

This site is a personal notebook: real automations, real problems, real solutions. Nothing here is a hello-world demo, so I hope you'll find some of it useful or inspiring for your own setup. A special thanks goes to Giulia, my lovely wife, for patiently tolerating the endless smart home experiments and the occasional change in how things work around the house. 😅
